For more than three decades, my life has been the ocean. I have been diving since 1989, and over the years I have spent tens of thousands of hours underwater, teaching and exploring aquatic ecosystems — from the icy Arctic seas and tropical reefs to wild rivers, caves, wrecks and unforgettable dives with Nile crocodiles, sharks and whales.
For me, diving has never been just a goal. It has been a path and a way of life.
My own path to discovering places untouched by human eyes. To silence that cannot be described, emotions that cannot be bought, and humility that only nature can teach.
Nature has always fascinated me — its beauty, power and secrets, revealed only to those who can slow down and look carefully.
I still value most the moment when I come across something I have never seen before. That constant discovery is what makes me put on my gear and enter the water with the same excitement every day.
